Digital Files
AJ Thomas Requires a laser or fax copy of the digital file you are sending showing all color breaks and copy.
We will also require that you view a hard copy of the file sent. If you do not wish to see a proof you will be
required to sign a waiver stating that you accept full responsibility for the content of the file. Please include
a note in your e-mail as to the platform, file type and version.

Types of file transmissions Accepted:
• E-mail
Files can be transmitted electronically via e-mail to ajfrom91@aol.com. Include a note in your e-mail stating
the platform, file type and version. We can receive up to 4 megabytes file transfer.

• Disks & CD's
We can accept files on 3 1/2" disks (Mac & PC formatted). Zip and CD disks for large or multiple files.

• PDF Files
PDF is used for both receiving files and as a method of digital proofing. PDF's are locked files, we cannot
make alterations to them you must color separated and generate cropmarks before distilling your files.
Make sure your file is saved as CMYK not RGB for full color work or there will be an additional charge.
Make sure you embed all the fonts to eliminate any font incompatibility issues. If you set up job for a bleed
you will need to have an 1/8th of an inch boarder for all sides that bleed.

• Proofing
AJ Thomas Printing recommends hard copy proofing as the most stable form of proofing whenever possible.
You will be required to sign off an approval of copy prior to printing.
